Accordian to a recent survey, replacing words with the names of musical instruments often goes undetected.
OK. That’s a terrible joke. But not a bad introduction.
Keith Copley, author of the excellent article Neoliberalism and ELT Coursebook Content, has asked us to mention the survey he has created on the issue of precarity in ELT during lockdown.
The aim of the survey is to gather data about the experience of TEFL teachers both as a result of measures put in place to deal with Covid-19, and the ‘hyper-precarity’ of our wider employment status.
The survey is anonymous, only takes a few minutes to complete, and the data will help Keith write an article on the topic to be published in an ELT magazine sometime in the next year.
Here is the link to the survey. If you could take just a few minutes to fill it in we’d all be very grateful.
Cheers!
